Join as a Unity Developer to build AI full-stack solutions and shape an engineering culture that values autonomy, creativity, and technical excellence. 🚀
🌟 What do we offer?
A central role in the team that defines the next products, not just maintains the existing ones
End-to-end ownership of the agentic AI layer on top of what Labs ships
AI-assisted development as a first-class practice, Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, with the autonomy to exercise real engineering judgment
Modern, multi-cloud stack: MongoDB + SQL, Azure + AWS
Real influence over architecture, technical standards, and engineering culture beyond your immediate team
A high-bar technical environment where your architectural decisions impact multiple teams and products
🧑🏻💻 Responsibilities:
Build and maintain Unity (C#) field applications that customers rely on daily to sketch, configure, and publish pipe, duct, and other MEP work from the jobsite.
Write production Unity code across the realities of the engine: scene and prefab architecture, the component lifecycle, input handling, UI, performance, and the editor/runtime split.
Own the client-to-cloud integration path, login, publishing, and data sync between the Unity client and Stratus services, and the fidelity and error handling that keep it trustworthy.
Build and maintain automated tests using the Unity Test Framework (NUnit), PlayMode integration tests and EditMode unit tests, and help reduce the stack-transfer fragility that isolates Unity work from the rest of engineering.
Ship features and customer-facing enhancements across the full stack, backend services, APIs, data, and web front end, working from product specs and customer feedback.
Design and build the services and APIs that connect our web platform, cloud data
Investigate and fix customer-reported bugs in your area of the product, tracing issues across the boundaries between client, service, and data layers.
Implement and maintain modern automated testing, unit, integration, and end-to-end, and contribute to monolith decomposition and modernization as touch points emerge in your work.
Use AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as a first-class part of the dev loop, writing tests for AI-generated changes and exercising clear judgment about when AI output ships.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and customer-facing teams to define, design, scope, and ship, grounding technical decisions in real design and fabrication workflows.
Coordinate deployments and incident response with peers; advocate for incremental delivery.
Share knowledge and raise the engineering bar through code review and pragmatic best practices.
🤝 If you have:
6+ years of professional software development experience, including production ownership of customer-facing features — shipping and operating production-grade systems, not just prototypes or notebooks.
Full-stack engineering (required): Demonstrated production experience shipping across the full stack. Comfort with at least one statically-typed backend language, at least one modern frontend framework, and both NoSQL and SQL data stores is assumed. Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, or the ability to ramp on it in days, not months.
Unity application development (required): Hands-on production experience building and shipping Unity (C#) applications, scene/prefab architecture, the component lifecycle, input and UI, performance, and the editor/runtime split. Experience integrating a Unity client with backend services (auth, data sync, publishing).
Unity testing (required): Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining automated tests with the Unity Test Framework (NUnit), both PlayMode integration tests (scene loading, UI-driven, end-to-end) and EditMode unit tests, and running them in CI as part of the mergeflow.
Strong debugging skills, can trace issues through complex systems, reproduce edge cases, and identify root causes in code you didn't write.
Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent) as part of your daily workflow, with clear judgment about when AI output ships, needs rework, or should be thrown away.
Working understanding of CI/CD pipelines and optimizing DevEx for a dev team. Understands SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI, and TDD and applies them when warranted.
Working understanding of security best practices and safe handling of PII/sensitive data.
Excellent communication; can work directly with product managers, designers, and customers to triage and scope work.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical
experience.
Advanced English
🦾 It’s a plus:
Customer-facing AI experience, building production agentic workflows (multi-step planning, tool calling, structured outputs, retrieval), and the evals, guardrails, and observability that make them safe to ship. Familiarity with an agent framework or SDK (e.g., Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph) or with MCP is a plus.
Mobile deployment experience with Unity, iOS/Android build pipelines, device performance, and app-store release management.
Familiarity working with data derived from CAD/BIM or other 2D/3D model sets, or 3Drendering and visualization experience.
Experience deconstructing monoliths into modular or service-oriented architectures, and with event-driven or message-based integration.
Domain knowledge of MEP, BIM, or construction fabrication workflows, or an AEC
engineering background.
